A porcelain veneer is a layer of material placed over the surface of a tooth. Porcelain veneers are the most commonly used cosmetic method to correct dental imperfections, including discolouration, poor alignment, misshaped teeth, or even to close gaps that might appear between teeth. Dental veneers can even be used in cases where orthodontic treatments – like braces – have been deemed unsuitable. Occasionally, veneers are also used after orthodontic treatments if re-alignment has not been as effective as predicted.
